Video Teaching: The Four Levels of Discipleship
This week, instead of writing a blog post, I have decided to sit down and do some live teachings on the Disciple-Making Mindset, and the four levels of discipleship that I have been training on in East Africa for the last few years. Video 1: The Disciple-Making Mindset
In this first video of this series, we dig into the Great Commission’s command to “make disciples,’ and then take a look at how the process of discipleship imitates life from birth, through adolescence, to adulthood.
Video 2: Discipling the Lost (Level 1 Discipleship)
In this video I discuss how to “Disciple The Lost,” or what I call “Level 1 Discipleship.” I share two practical ways to present the gospel message as well as the need to use our personal testimony to reach those around us.
Video 3: Discipling New Believers (Level 2 Discipleship)
In this video I discuss how to disciple new believers (what I call Level 2 Discipleship). Two keys are helping them get free of any bondages to the devil, and helping them lay a foundation for their faith through basic, topical teachings.

Video 4: Discipling Growing Believers (Level 3 Discipleship)
In this video I talk about how to do discipleship with growing believers (what I call Level 3 Discipleship). At this stage we must teach them how to study God’s Word and how to hear God’s voice for themselves. They are not new-born Christians anymore. We must help them learn to care for themselves spiritually.

Video 5: Discipling Mature Leaders (Level 4 Discipleship)
In this video I talk about how to transition mature believers into servant-leaders in the body of Christ. As we begin to help them develop a vision to serve others, we must also help them identify and grow in their Holy Spirit giftings. Then we must begin to impart to them, the vision for ministry leadership which God has given to us. Some will stick with you forever. Others you will need to release and commission to serve God in other ministries, but either way, you must love them into spiritual adulthood as a good father or mother in the Lord.
